What you can do with our Hi-Vis work jackets
From band merch to corporate identity – the right model is the basis for a thousand ideas.
Motorway and road construction Class 3
On sites along A-roads and motorways with traffic rushing past at over 60 km/h, Class 3 is legally mandatory. The RG9430 2-tone thermal quilted jacket delivers full-surface fluorescence plus a full reflective circumference, and, as a padded winter version, holds up on the night shift even at minus 10 degrees.
Rail, track construction and shunting operations
DB (German railway) regulations and works railway operating instructions consistently require class 3 near tracks. The KX809S Oslo pilot jacket, as a 4-in-1 system, covers both summer rain and winter frost and, with its all-round 3M reflective strips, is the go-to choice for track personnel and outdoor dispatchers.
Municipal operations & depot year-round
Landscaping & facility night shift
Volunteer fire brigade & rescue service volunteer work
Women's fit for mixed teams
Municipal and fire-service teams with female members need genuine Women's cuts rather than unisexi compromises. The RT325F Soft Padded is the only specifically tailored Women's hi-vis jacket in the range — narrower shoulders, tailored back, no excess sleeve length.
What the hi-vis properties really mean
So that you can decide in a standards-compliant and application-appropriate way: here we explain the five most important product features of hi-vis work jackets in detail – with their significance, sensible applications and concrete buying tips.
EN ISO 20471 Hi-Vis class
The compliant visibility level
Reflective stripes & 3M Scotchlite
How the jacket reflects headlights back
Weather protection & water column
How much rain the jacket withstands
Insulation & warmth performance
How warm the jacket keeps in the cold
Certification & material standards
Which test standards the jacket meets
Six ways to the right hi-vis jacket
Whether motorway night construction, municipal public works yard or women's fitted kitting – here are the curated combinations of class, weather protection and brand that work in everyday B2B use.
Class 3 winter for motorway & railway
Padded winter jacket with full-surface fluorescence, wraparound 3M reflective stripes around body and sleeves and waterproof coating. EN ISO 20471 class 3 plus EN 343 weather protection - the employers'-liability-insurance recognised reference for motorway night construction, rail in winter and traffic safety in frost.
Class 2 softshell for local authority & depot
Softshell jacket with class 2 certification, micro-fleece lining and wind- and water-repellent membrane. Breathable enough for physical work, warm enough for autumn and spring. The standard go-to for street cleaning, green space maintenance and depot teams.
Printable for municipality and company
Models with designated print areas made from anthracite non-Hi-Vis material that enable printing without jeopardising standards conformity. Ideal for local authorities with crest requirements, volunteer fire brigades and corporate kitting for facility and logistics companies.
Women's fit for mixed teams
True women's cut with narrower shoulders, waisted back and sleeves in women's length - not a relabelled unisex cut. Important for mixed municipal and fire brigade teams with female members, so that standards compliance is not jeopardised by a poor fit.
Budget volume for the council depot
YOKO models from Great Britain with 3M Scotchlite reflective under the 60-euro mark - the pragmatic choice when municipal depot or facility company have to kit out across the board. Solid class 2 and class 3 models without premium surcharge, reliable repeat availability over years.
Sustainable procurement rPET
Jackets made of recycled Polyester (rPET) from PET-bottle reprocessing with full EN ISO 20471 certification. Reduces the CO2 footprint of procurement without loss in fluorescence performance or reflective durability — ideal for local authorities with climate-protection targets and public tenders with CSR requirements.
The five most important Hi-Vis brands
Five specialised manufacturers cover the complete 35-model range - from the British safety specialist via the German industrial classic to the Spanish niche provider with women's fit. Here is what each brand stands for.
Result SafeGuard
Result sub-brand that focuses exclusively on employer's liability insurance-recognised Hi-Vis clothing and PPE textiles. Focus on clean print preparation with dedicated corporate print areas without impairing standards conformity. Range extends from light class 2 softshell to padded winter blouson with Polar-Therm filling.
Regatta High Visibility
Hi-vis line from the British outdoor brand Regatta - combines outdoor technical expertise (X-Pro membrane, Pro-Contract series) with full EN ISO 20471 certification from class 1 to 3. The broadest model range in the assortment: packaway rain jacket, softshell, fleece and padded winter quilted jacket in class 3. First choice for municipalities wanting to kit out from one brand.
YOKO
British volume supplier with solid 3M Scotchlite models under the 60-euro mark – the price benchmark for council depot volume procurement and facility firms. Focus on classic class-2 and class-3 hi-vis jackets without a premium mark-up; reliable resupply capability over years for consistent team kit.
Korntex
German Hi-Vis specialist with a focus on industrial-classic ready-to-wear and combined 4-in-1 systems (weather jacket plus detachable fleece lining). The reference for municipal winter service and depot procurement, because one model covers four seasons. Dedicated print areas on the EOS parka and softshell series enable crest printing without loss of standards compliance.
Roly Workwear
Spanish workwear niche supplier with modern softshell constructions and the only consistently tailored hi-vis range in the European promotional products market. Important for mixed municipal and fire-brigade teams with Women members so that standard compliance is not jeopardised by a poor unisex fit.

Which fabric, which cut?
Not every material and not every cut suits every project. Here you will find the right combination.
100% polyester standard
Taking responsibility

All about Hi-Vis work jackets
The class depends on the environment and the speeds of passing vehicles. Class 3 is legally mandatory on motorways, A-roads with over 60 km/h, railway and track installations as well as airport aprons - full-surface fluorescence plus full reflex coverage around torso and sleeves. Class 2 is the practical standard for municipal enterprises, depots, landscaping and facility management - sufficient for roads under 60 km/h and after-work with construction site lighting. Class 1 is sufficient for indoor warehouses with forklift traffic, marshals on company premises and reception posts with outdoor paths. Important: Class 2 jacket plus Class 1 trousers together result in Class 3 kit - expressly provided for in the standard as a combined effect and the pragmatic solution for many municipal deployments.
EN ISO 20471 defines the fluorescenti colours normatively because only these hues achieve significantly increased visibility against the environment in daylight and at dusk. Fluorescent yellow-green is the colour most easily perceived by humans across the entire visual spectrum; fluorescent orange offers the highest contrast to green (landscaping) and blue (airport) backgrounds. A 'conspicuous red', neon blue or signal pink is not compliant with the standard, even if it appears subjectively conspicuous - such jackets are ineffective in an insurance-relevant emergency and may not be declared as warning clothing. Two-tone variants (HV yellow-green on top, navy or anthracite below) are permitted as long as the HV base material area is reached for the respective class.
Consistently wash without fabric softener — fabric softener destroys the reflective coatingi and gums up the retro-reflective beads so that the standard requirement is no longer met after just a few washes. Wash temperature per the care label, usually 40 to 60 degrees; higher temperatures can cause the fluorescenti dyes to fade. Tumble drying only with explicit clearance on the care label — otherwise, PU-coated jackets risk detachment of the coating. Do not iron reflective strips, not even on a low setting — the bead structure is flattened. Turn the jacket inside out before washing to protect the reflective bands mechanically. After 30 to 50 washes, check the reflective performance in the dark with a torch; if the bands no longer reflect back directly, standards compliance is no longer given and the jacket must be replaced.
That depends on budget level and tender requirements. Regatta High Visibility (7 models) is the outdoor and safety brand with the full Class 1 to 3 spectrum and the widest model range in the assortment - a good choice for municipalities wanting to kit out from a single brand. Result SafeGuard (7 models) is the British safety specialist with a focus on print preparation and corporate customisation - ideal when crest or logo are to be applied prominently. YOKO (6 models) is the low-price supplier from Great Britain with solid 3M Scotchlitei models under 60 euros - perfect for depot orders in volume. Korntex (6 models) is the German industrial-classic supplier with the combined 4-in-1 systems and dedicated print areas - the reference for municipal winter service and depot procurement. Roly Workwear (3 models) is the Spanish niche supplier with tailored women's models - important for mixed teams with women's fit requirements.
Children's hi-vis jackets are not regularly in the range for standards-related reasons: EN ISO 20471 applies exclusively to adult garment sizes because the HV base-material areas and reflective-strip lengths are dimensioned to adult body proportions. Smaller garment sizes do not meet the standard's area requirement geometrically and therefore cannot be declared as standards-compliant hi-vis clothing. For children's traffic-warden programmes (e.g. school-crossing patrols), holiday-camp outings or family campaigns, we recommend hi-vis vests in children's sizes from our hi-vis accessories range — these do not fall under EN ISO 20471, but they provide the practical visibility for the occasions mentioned. For bespoke children's procurement, please contact us directly: we will check whether a small XS or S size from the regular range fits young people aged 12+ in a geometrically standards-compliant way.
