Description
The Content Claim Standard (CCS) is Textile Exchange's overarching chain-of-custody standard. It governs the traceability of a specific raw material (e.g. organic cotton, recycled PET, wool) through every processing stage to the finished product, independent of the concrete material standard.
CCS certification is issued per processor as a scope certificate, every shipment receives a transaction certificate. All specific Textile Exchange standards (OCS, RCS, GRS, RWS, RMS, RDS) adopt CCS as their chain-of-custody component and add material-specific requirements (recycled content, animal welfare, chemistry etc.).
