Also known as: Made in Green label, MADE IN GREEN QR tracking
Traceable product label from OEKO-TEX granted only when the textile is tested for harmful substances under STANDARD 100 (or LEATHER STANDARD) and all key production sites hold the STeP certification for sustainable production.
Description
MADE IN GREEN by OEKO-TEX is the OEKO-TEX traceability label for sustainably and low-substance produced textiles and leather goods. It combines two requirements: the finished product must be tested for harmful substances under STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX (or LEATHER STANDARD), and every production stage contributing at least 5 % of the weight must be carried out in facilities certified according to STeP by OEKO-TEX (Sustainable Textile & Leather Production).
Each garment carries a unique product ID or QR code. Via the OEKO-TEX Label Check any customer can retrace in which countries and factories the individual processing steps (weaving, dyeing, making-up) took place. For retail and brands, MADE IN GREEN is therefore one of the few proofs that combines chemical, environmental and social standards with real supply-chain transparency.
