Crop-top fit

Strongly shortened top cut ending above the belly button or at the under-bust line, deliberately exposing the midriff.
Description
Crop-top fit is a top cut in which the hem deliberately ends well above the hips — typically at navel level (standard crop) or under the bust line (ultra-crop, bralette-length). It is therefore the logical extension of the cropped fit (which just ends at waist level): while cropped still shows only a subtle strip of hip, crop-top is explicitly designed to expose the midriff.
Key parameters: back and front length typically 35–45 cm from the neckline (vs. 60–70 cm on regular fit). The hem is usually cut straight or trimmed with a rib band, more rarely with a tie knot. Characteristic variants are the cropped T-shirt, the cropped hoodie (with shortened kangaroo pocket) and the crop tank. Target group traditionally women 16–30, in the 2020s also increasingly unisex streetwear (K-pop influence). For B2B corporate the fit is relevant in fitness, yoga and dance ranges (studios, fitness chains) and for merchandise of music acts, summer festivals and beach brands. Grading warning: crop silhouettes fold unevenly on larger sizes — radial pattern adjustment is usually required.
