Modern cut

Modern cut describes a contemporary fit positioned between the classic regular fit and the body-hugging slim fit. The silhouette is slightly tapered but not as tight as slim fit. It offers a good compromise between comfort and modern appearance. Chest-waist drop typically ranges from 10 to 14 cm.

Structurally the modern cut uses slightly tapered side seams, moderate back panels and narrower but not tight sleeves. The collar is contemporarily proportioned, often New Kent or a variant. Cuffs are moderately slim.
