Thin polyester taffeta with 190 threads per inch, classic jacket lining.
Description
190T polyester is a taffeta fabric with about 190 threads per inch (warp plus weft), usually made from 50D-75D filaments. The T count is independent of denier and describes thread density. 190T typically weighs 50-70 g/m2 and is the classic lightweight lining for windbreakers, sportswear, backpack liners and promo goods. Its smooth surface reduces friction and dyes cheaply. As an outer shell it is limited by low abrasion resistance. With PU or PVC coating it reaches hydrostatic heads of up to 2000 mm per EN ISO 811. For heavy workwear one steps up to 210D or 300D; 190T remains standard for inner linings and promotional items.
