210D polyester
Also known as: 210D Oxford
Light, smooth polyester fabric for bag linings and ripstop shells with 210 denier yarn.
Description
210D polyester uses 210-denier filaments and is typically woven in Oxford or ripstop weave. At 90-130 g/m2 it is a lightweight technical fabric for pack shells, toiletry bags, shoppers and sports duffels. In workwear it serves as a windbreaker shell or heavy-duty tool-pocket lining. PU coatings deliver 1500-2000 mm water column per EN ISO 811. Abrasion resistance is limited to 5,000-10,000 Martindale cycles, so 210D is not for ground contact. Advantages: low weight, color fastness, affordable price. Heavier tasks move to 300D, 420D or 600D. Ripstop threads every 5-8 mm dramatically limit tear propagation.
