EN 13356

Standard for visibility accessories (reflective tags, bands) for non-professional use.
Description
EN 13356 covers visibility accessories that are not full hi-vis garments. Examples include reflective tags for school bags, reflective arm and leg bands, snap-wrap bands and stickers. The scope is non-professional: children, pedestrians, joggers and leisure cyclists. It sets minimum area and reflection performance, defines three categories by body position and specifies color and photometric requirements. For occupational hi-vis it is not sufficient; EN ISO 20471 or EN ISO 17353 apply there. As a complement to hi-vis garments EN 13356 is very useful, especially for children and in winter when jacket volume can dampen the base garment's reflective area. Marking uses the CE mark plus category and reflex class.
