SBP safety boot

SBP per EN ISO 20345 is a baseline SB safety shoe with penetration resistance (P) added. SB requires a toecap withstanding 200 J impact and 15 kN compression and a closed heel but skips antistatic, energy absorption and fuel resistance. P forces the outsole to resist at least 1100 N puncture. SBP is a cost-effective choice for sporadic use such as caretaker or cleaning work and areas with occasional nail risk. For constant workshop, logistics or site duty S1P, S3 or S5 fit better. EN ISO 20345:2022 further separates PL (metallic penetration) from PS (textile, usually Kevlar-based) protection; PL blocks bigger nail cross-sections, PS keeps shoes lighter and more flexible.
