Net fabric

Openly knitted or warp-knitted textile with visible spaces for ventilation and lightness.
Description
Net fabric is knitted textile with clearly visible open holes between the yarn crossings. Unlike finer mesh, net fabric has openings of 2-10 mm and is typically warp-knitted on Raschel machines (coarse gauge 5-14). Base bindings: tulle, marquisette, honeycomb net or hexagonal structure.
Materials: mostly polyester and polyamide, less often cotton. Weights range from 40 to 150 g/m². Net fabric is extremely air-permeable, light and dries very quickly. It can be smooth or elasticised with elastane. In sport, different net sizes (small, large) provide targeted ventilation in high-strain zones.
Used for football training bibs, sports jerseys, inner linings of softshells and trekking trousers, backpack rear pads, laundry bags, curtains and insect screens. Adidas, Puma and Nike use net inserts as standard in sportswear. Care: 30 °C, wash bag recommended, do not iron.
