Punto di Milano

Italian name for a dense double-interlock knit with a smooth face and slight relief — the classic base for jersey suits and ponte blazers.
Description
Punto di Milano is a finer, more densely knitted Italian variant of the Milano rib. Produced on a circular machine with two needle beds, it yields a very smooth double-face knit with a subtle relief, high opacity and soft drape.
Typical composition: 65–75 % viscose/PES with 3–5 % elastane; weight 260–340 g/m². Punto di Milano is the standard base for ponte blazers, business dresses and slim-cut jersey trousers, wherever shape stability and a fabric character beyond single jersey is required. Hardly wrinkles and easy-care (30 °C).
