Polyester fibre with active particles from coconut-shell activated carbon – regulates moisture and body temperature.
Description
37.5 Technology (formerly Cocona) is a fibre and finish technology from US company Cocona Inc.. Tiny active particles made of coconut-shell activated carbon plus volcanic-rock minerals are permanently embedded in the polyester fibre. Their porous structure hugely increases the surface area.
Effect: vapour from skin is picked up and evaporated faster – the microclimate around the body is kept at 37.5 °C and 37.5 % humidity (hence the name). Retained after 100 wash cycles (built into the fibre core, not a coating). Uses: base layers, trail running, merino blends, ski underwear. Brands: Rab, Salomon, Ortovox, Craft.
