Dermizax

Non-porous PU membrane by Toray with very high stretch and water column > 20,000 mm.
Description
Dermizax is a rain-protection membrane introduced in 1988 by Japanese chemical group Toray Industries. Chemistry: non-porous, hydrophilic polyurethane membrane with long PEG side chains that shuttle water molecules through the polymer.
Series: Dermizax EV (standard, 20,000 mm), Dermizax NX (nano-structured, extremely breathable), Dermizax OMNI (500 % stretch). Because it has no pores it stays clean and stable – rated at > 100 wash cycles without loss of performance. Used by Mountain Hardwear (Conduit), Descente and Norrona among others.
