Active cooling finish from Swiss manufacturer HeiQ — responds to body temperature and sweat, opens the fibre and accelerates evaporation.
Description
HeiQ Smart Temp is a dynamic textile finish from the Swiss bio-tech company HeiQ (founded in 2005 as an ETH Zurich spin-off). The finish activates as soon as skin temperature rises: hydrophilic molecular groups open up, attract moisture and accelerate its evaporation from the textile surface. Once the temperature drops, the structure closes again and the cooling effect stops — hence "smart".
Tested to ISO 105 and rated with the HeiQ Cool Sensation Index. The treatment is wash-fast (typically 50+ cycles), bluesign-approved and found in T-shirts, base layers, bed linen and sportswear from brands such as Under Armour, Hugo Boss or JOOP!. Often combined with polyester mesh or recycled polyester.
