Description

Linen is obtained from the bast fibres of flax (Linum usitatissimum). The main growing and processing countries are France, Belgium and the Netherlands. After retting, breaking, scutching and hackling, long, smooth fibres remain, which are spun into yarn.

Linen fabrics feel cool, absorb moisture quickly and release it just as fast. The fibre is about twice as strong as cotton and softens with every wash. The drawback is heavy creasing. Classic uses are summer suits, blouses, table linen and duvet covers.

  • Very absorbent and cooling in summer
  • Extremely strong and durable
  • Creases noticeably — natural look
  • Certification: European Flax / Masters of Linen
