Coverlock (combination machine)

Combination machine that provides overlock and coverstitch seams in one unit – common in ateliers and small manufacturers.
Description
A coverlock is not a stitch type but a combination sewing machine that, by conversion, handles both 3/4-thread overlock (class 504/514) and 2/3-needle coverstitch (class 406/407). Upper and lower loopers plus the knife stay in place; needle count and thread guides are reconfigured.
Industrial mass production splits these functions across dedicated machines (serger + coverstitch); in sample making, alterations, small sportswear and childrenswear runs, the coverlock is the efficient all-in-one solution. Typical models: Bernina L890, Juki MO-2800, Baby Lock Ovation.
