Neck band
Also known as: Neck reinforcement tape
German counterpart to neck tape – interior, often printed with a woven brand label.
Description
The neck band is the German-language equivalent of the English neck tape. It describes a 12–20 mm wide inside band running from the left shoulder point over the nape to the right shoulder point. Often made of organic cotton twill or recycled polyester and woven with brand signet, size and care information.
Attached with coverstitch class 406 (2 needles) or lockstitch 301, 4–5 stitches per cm. Fair Wear and GOTS programs use specially certified bands. Sample products at Clubmartin: organic crew-neck T-shirt, sweatshirt with woven neck band, signature polo. Strength 100–180 N/cm.
