Neck tape

Inside topstitched twill or grosgrain tape that covers the neck seam and stabilises it.
Description
A neck tape is a 10–15 mm wide twill or grosgrain tape topstitched on the inside along the neck line after the collar has been attached. It covers the overlock seam, prevents the neckline from stretching out and often carries the brand's woven label. Standard on premium T-shirts, polos and sweatshirts.
Sewn with lockstitch class 301 (2 needles) or coverstitch class 406, 4–5 stitches per cm, polyester filament T-40. Sample products at Clubmartin: premium merino T-shirt with organic cotton neck tape, polo with contrast tape, rugby shirt. Tensile strength 120–200 N/cm.
