Lyocell A100
Also known as: Excel A100, Standard lyocell 1.3 dtex
Standard lyocell titre 1.3 dtex / 38 mm — the classic short-staple grade for ring spinning on cotton systems.
Description
A100 is the common trade designation (e.g. Birla Cellulose Excel, historically Lenzing) for the standard lyocell staple at approx. 1.3 dtex fineness and 38 mm cut length. This combination matches the cotton ring-spinning standard and is therefore preferred for pure lyocell yarns or blends with cotton, modal and elastane.
The fibre is made in the closed-loop NMMO process (solvent recovery > 99 %), reaches very high wet tenacity (~85 % of dry) and has a cool, soft hand. For smooth blouse fabric A100 is often combined with an enzymatic anti-fibrillation finish.
