Description
Micropolyester refers to polyester fibres with a fineness below 1 dtex, produced from PET by melt spinning. The finer filaments create fabrics with a particularly soft, textile hand, high coverage and a fine appearance.
Micropolyester is preferred in functional wear, where a large fibre surface provides fast moisture management, good wind resistance and pleasant skin contact. Softshells, wind jackets, sports shirts and light rain jackets benefit from the combination of tear strength and softness. In fashion, micropolyester satins offer a luxurious drape.

Recycled variants (rPET micropolyester) combine functionality with a reduced ecological footprint.
