Newlife™ rPET
Also known as: Newlife yarn, Sinterama Newlife, Italian rPET
Recycled polyester yarn from Italian PET bottles — mechanical recyclate with fully traceable origin.
Description
Newlife™ is a recycled polyester by the Italian yarn producer Sinterama S.p.A. (Biella). PET bottles from the Italian one-way deposit system are collected, cleaned, shredded and mechanically (not chemically) converted into rPET chips, then spun into continuous filaments.
Newlife™ is Global Recycled Standard (GRS) and OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified and comes with a closed traceability of origin: 100 % raw material from Italy, short transport routes. Used in fashion collections (Giorgio Armani, Ferragamo, Gucci) as well as sports and corporate wear. The fibre is chemically identical to virgin PET and can be knitted, woven or processed on plotters.
