Nylon Taslan

Air-jet textured nylon yarn with a soft, cotton-like hand and good wind and water repellency.
Description
Nylon Taslan refers to a polyamide yarn produced by an air-jet texturing process named after the trademark Taslan® (DuPont, 1954). Continuous filaments are turbulated in an air jet and entangled with each other, creating a voluminous, cotton-like structure.
The resulting fabric appears more matte, softer and more breathable than smooth nylon while retaining the characteristic tear strength and dimensional stability. It is often given a water-repellent finish (DWR) and used for wind jackets, light rainwear, anoraks and outdoor trousers.

Compared to classic ripstop nylon, Nylon Taslan is visually slightly coarser and more subdued in sheen, which makes it particularly interesting for fashion outdoor styles.
