Fine, lighter canvas variant with a typical weight of around 180–260 g/m² — plain weave with a dense, robust hand but more wearable than classic duck canvas.
Description
Micro canvas is a finer, lighter version of classic canvas: densely woven in a plain weave but with much finer yarns and typically a weight of around 180–260 g/m². The result is a fabric that keeps the recognisable canvas surface (matt, slightly grainy look) yet drapes softly enough for shirts, light bomber jackets, chinos, business dresses and everyday bags.
The base is mostly pure cotton or a blend with polyester or polyamide for extra tear strength. Micro canvas creases less than heavy duck canvas, holds print and embroidery cleanly and can easily take a DWR or wax finish to become weather-ready. In corporate and business collections it serves as a robust yet refined alternative to poplin or twill.
