Description
Softstyle® is a trademarked T-shirt quality by Gildan made from 100% ring-spun cotton (Ne 30/1) in single jersey on circular machines at 24-28 gauge. Characteristic is the fine yarn count combined with a lighter fabric weight of 150-155 g/m², yielding a silky-soft hand and a modern, slimmer fashion fit.
After knitting the fabric is bio-enzyme washed to smooth the surface and further increase softness. Softstyle® tees are semi-fitted (side-seamed), tubular-free and reinforced with a neck tape for a higher-end look and stable fit. Colour depth is high because the finer cotton absorbs reactive dyes better.
Uses: premium promotional tees, merchandise, fashion. Care: 30-40 °C, medium tumble, minimal shrinkage thanks to pre-shrinking. Printability is very good (DTG, screen, transfer). Benefits: lighter, softer and more modern cut than classic heavy cotton tees. Drawback: less robust than 180+ g/m² fabric, more sensitive to mechanical stress.
