Symmetry fleece
Also known as: Symmetry
Fleece quality brushed identically on both sides for a symmetric, smooth surface.
Description
Symmetry fleece refers to a fleece quality whose inner and outer face are processed identically in pile height, structure and hand. The base fabric is usually a double-face circular knit at 20-24 gauge, then brushed on two symmetrical raising lines with equal card speed and needle tension. This yields two absolutely equivalent visible surfaces, making garment making and printing easier.
Fabric weights are typically 220-320 g/m² with 1.2-2 mm pile per side. Symmetry makes the material ideal for reversible jackets, linings with visible fleece and blanket applications. It is anti-pill treated, colour-fast and easy to embellish with transfer print or embroidery.
Care: 30-40 °C, no fabric softener, low tumble. Microplastic shedding applies as with all polyester fleece; recycled polyester and washing machine fibre filters significantly reduce release. Colour stability from disperse-dyed PES is very high.
